We'll spend just over three hours and cover around four miles, moving between three extraordinary green spaces: Woodberry Wetlands, Edible Landscapes London in Finsbury Park, and the Parkland Walk nature reserve.
We'll start with a guided tour of Woodberry Wetlands from a London Wildlife Trust ranger, a site that represents an important win for nature against developer, which was opened in by Sir David Attenborough. We'll continue on to Finsbury Park to get our hands dirty helping out at Edible Landscapes London, a community forest garden that has been showcase the benefits of permaculture for over 10 years. We'll take a short walk through the park to Parkland Walk, walking along the abandoned railway line turned nature reserve, with the option to pick up any plastic pollution we see along the way. After a quick look at the eerie railway tunnels, now home to a colony of bats, we'll finish at The Boogaloo in Highgate for a drink and debrief.
